David has been delivering insightful and practical training courses for many years. With experience in both online and face-to-face formats, his two-day training sessions and one-day refreshers have supported social workers, nurses, and psychiatrists in honing their expertise in supporting patients and carers while protecting the public,

David is a part-time forensic social work consultant with West London NHS Trust and has a wealth of experience, having previously served for many years as the Head of Forensic Social Work for High Secure, Medium Secure, and Low Secure Services. He is also one of the authors of the DoHSC  Forensic Social Work Capabilities Framework - click HERE

Currently, David is leading the Social Supervision Project, which has produced essential materials for managing mentally disordered offenders in the community - click HERE

His work extends to his role as a Specialist Member of the Mental Health Tribunal and  he is the Social Work representative on the NHSE Adult Secure Clinical Reference Group.
