The annual LeDeR report was published recently. It reviews the deaths of 3,648 people with a learning disability and/or autism. Unfortunately, despite some progress, failure to apply the MCA is still a significant factor identified in the deaths of people with learning disability and autistic people. The report states: ‘...the main area of concern within the statutory duties category was lack of adherence to the MCA and its principles.’ Click here to view the report.
