About the Event
This full-day training course aims to equip participants with knowledge about Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship and appointeeship and consider how these can be used to support people who may lack capacity to manage their financial affairs.
Learning outcomes
Explain how the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) can be used to manage the financial affairs of people who lack capacity
Differentiate between Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA), Deputyship and appointeeship
Describe the duties and responsibilities of attorneys’ & deputies
Identify a valid LPA and Deputyship order
